All Of My Almost 600 Marbles Found Detecting

In your fourth picture, you have some RR marbles..

They were developed back in the day to help move/unload certain things...

They are the greenish bluish ones with bubbles, and imperfections...

Very interesting about the RR marbles. Didn't know that.

Nice collection of marbles Jamflicker.

Again, you help ID something of mine I had no clue that I had. I've been reading about railroad marbles, really interesting. I am pretty sure mine were probably found along some railroad tracks where there are some lots that I like to hunt. Thanks, I appreciate it.

Your very welcome, I like when I can help shed light on the unknown/unexpected..

It seems around here, a lot of RR marbles became part of most kid's regular marble collection.. They can turn up randomly also because of that..

You find 10 to my one, but mine are from the water..

Good luck hitting 500!!

Thanks for sharing the fun..

Nice post Jason. I know we have found a lot of marbles over the years. I vaguely remember giving you a couple handfuls back in the day. So I hope that some of those made into your photo's haha.

Do you remember the names we had for marbles? I remember pee wees, and I think maybe Queenies for the large ones ?

Most miraculously mega marble menagerie there Jam!!!

I think I've stumbled across 2 most likely rather modern ones, about as many silver coins too

You da man!

Thanks for posting your marbles :D

Jason, thanks for sharing. I'm only 550 behind you (lol). Most of my marble finds have come from the shorelines of lakes and ponds while detecting.

Now theres some Wrist Rocket ammo!

Cool finds!
Haha, I have thought about that and wonder how many of these were lost that way.

Do you see them in the water when you find them or just get lucky and they are in your scoop?

Little bit of both, I find them in my scoop while trying to locate an underwater target that's 5ft under.. Some are found after I hunt shallow water and it had time to clear up after turning over the substrate. Usually the shallow ones are eyeballed on my second pass through, I'll see the color in the rocks/sand...
