30 Day Challenge (living off metal detecting finds only)

Just got back from my first 7 hour hunt. Physically I did ok, only stopping once or twice for a drink.

Total tally for day 1 is $55.75. (no rings or jewellery)

I started out at a local beach...weather has not been so great here lately, so beaches have been quiet. Was not finding much in the sand so walked up to the picnic areas and did much better in the woodchips and grass.

Ok, it is almost 4am here, I am off for a sleep. Will get the blog up and running when i wake up.

Did it for 6 Days

Hunted all the low tides, afternoons then the Dark of night...3 hours before and 1 after. Eating can food, sleeping shifts and doing a 4 hour partime job. After the 4th day the fun was gone. When you are not getting the hits you get frustrated.... Plus it is seasonal in most parts of the US, {meaning you have peaks} So for extra cash yes, as a living? Not for me...But Yes, A Great Hobby.

But maybe I'm getting Old to Ruff it!...Joe
