So organize one of your own in your area...I'm sure Kansas Dave will give you tips on how to accomplish this.

I kinda do already. Not really to this extent with sponsers and cookouts and all but its still a group of fellas swinging coils in the same general area.

Diggin' it with friends is what it is all about, Silver Strike! Perhaps we can organize the big 5th annual FMDF D.I.W.F.T.H. in Pa the spring of 2013. If you are interested in hosting that event just let me know and I will do everything I can to help. I think it would be fun if this event could be hosted in a different State each year.

Trying to talk Ryanchappel into visiting me at the time of this hunt.
Not sure if it's such a good idea, though.

Considering the rock hard clay we have to dig in around here, and the 4 inch depth limit even with his E Trac, all that crying he will be doing when it's over and he realizes he has to go home could upset the other members.

More like Catatonia or shock instead of crying. The concept of great soil is not even real enough to me that I could be jealous of it. The finds people are finding, yes, it is like our detectors are broken, and I have just accepted that they cannot be fixed. Rick says detecting great soil is like getting a new detector. As far as going to KS it depends on my family, job, finances, etc at the time... Can't say now.

Nothing like digging a deep hole in good dirt... This was actually taken during a dry spell we had...

I just looked and it's 665 miles from Aurora, CO. Please put us in the "loop" for information on this event. I haven't looked, but there has to be camping in the area. I'll put it on the calendar and hope we can make it. Sounds like fun.

It's enough notice so I'm gonna try and make it. Hopefully, just HOPEFULLY I can mange to get a Saturday off for once.

Any of you Oklahoma guys want to let me hitch a ride from your neck of the woods? I drive a V8 and gas to MO and back would kill me, but it sounds like a fun event.

1,176 miles for me, maybe next time. I would enjoy a group hunt with forum members sometime.....Curt:grin:

This sounds like a great time! I'm definitely gonna try to make it! But it is only 2 weeks after my weeks vaca. in Key West FL. So not sure!
