Sorry yall cant make it TP. We are used to long road trips and like to take off on adventures so its kinda what we do. Maybe get to meet you next year.

Still trying to work something out, where I can borrow three days from next years vacation bank. So put me in for a maybe. On another note...I tried to vote on the T Shirt design, but the thread was closed. In my opinion I think a combination of #3 and #4 would look very good and professional as well. Substitute the so called "zombie" knife (although I think it looks great) in #4, with the handshake and digger logo of #3. Then it would have people walking and Md'ing with the handshake in the middle. Just a thought.

I thought that I would move the information to this page

The K & M Discovery Team would like to invite all of the friendly metal forum members and hobbyist out to our 4th annual FMDF Diggin' It With Friends Treasure Hunt being held at Prospect Park in Rich Hill, Missouri. The hunt is Saturday, May 19th. We will be meeting at one of the shelters in the Park at 8:00 am rain or shine. After a brief welcome and rundown of the days events we will be off and searching!

We do not charge an entry fee to attend and this is not a seeded event. However we will be giving away a few prizes after the hunt and we'll be hosting a BBQ/picnic and we would love it if you would bring along your favorite dish. Please feel free to show off your heirloom tomato salsa, your grandma's green bean casserole recipe, something you bought at the farmers market, something you canned, or whatever else your heart desires. We will be providing and grilling the meat onsite.

Bring your spouses, your children or even your best hunting bud, everybody is welcome to attend our event! If you are interested in meeting and socializing, not to mention hunting with other hobbyist, FMDF forum members and having a great time. Please, make your plans now to attend this hunt. We are looking forward to seeing you there. It is and always continues to be, a diggin' good time for everyone!

I have given my word to the City of Rich Hill that we will not destroy their parks as they take great pride in them and their role in the history of the town. I'm asking you guys to give your support with this and please leave your shovels in your cars, bring your hand diggers, towels and fill your holes as neatly as possible. Keep in mind, while we are there we are looked upon as ambassadors of our hobby and we want to make this a positive experience for the community of Rich Hill as well as for those attending the spring hunt.

Bring some of your best finds and your displays with you and do a little braggin'. We really enjoy looking at those treasures that you folks are finding out there.

We will be raising money once again for Clad4Kids at this years event and I'm sure many of us will have already been out earlier in the Spring searching for our treasures, bring your dug clad with you and donate to Beefcakes Clad4Kids. Dug clad can come from the ground, your car or even from your pockets, these kids won't mind where it comes from.

What is Clad4Kids.....

Brian Duvall - aka Beefcake as he is known on some of the metal detecting forums started the Clad for Kids program to help some needy families of children that his wife and he teach for Christmas. It started with him wanting to do something to help this one particular little girl in kindergarten that literally had her toes sticking out of her shoes and no winter coat. He couldn't bare the thought of what the winter and Christmas would be like for her and her family and the need to help her literally brought tears to his eyes. It was during that weekend when he came up with Clad for Kids. In the past three years, our metal detecting community has provided Christmas for a total of 38 kids and 20 families!!! His wife and he spent every dime and bought enough clothes for each child to have 7 brand new outfits, shoes, winter coats, gas cards and yes...A wish gift! What would Christmas be without a toy??? 100% of all the money goes to these families and the gifts and cannot be refunded or used for things that does not benefit these kids. The idea came to him from our hobby.... We all end up with a pile of dirty clad at the end of our detecting year and I thought it would be nice to help some kids with it.

Anyone heard of DIV?

I think it would be cool if some of the people in this area the Central to southern states would get a civil war relic hunting get together in one of the Central or southern states!!!

Are there plans to hunt that Sunday? My request to get that Saturday off was denied because we're supposed to be extremely busy. %$##@^!!
