This one has me puzzled because of...

    Interesting Find?

I found this a few days ago a few miles away from a Civil War camp and I have no idea what it is. It appears to have “6-70” on it and nothing on the back. What do y’all think it is?

    ID help iron buckle?

Does anyone know what this could be? I think it’s an iron buckle with what looks like loops for straps that ran both vertically and horizontally. Found today in the woods in Indiana near an old civil war campsite (found a couple civil war buttons here along with a harmonica brass piece and a...

    Help ID Civil War Button

Hoping to get an ID on a button I found last weekend. This was found at a Civil War related site near Kansas City - also found a couple fired CW era bullets within 10 to 15 feet of this. Seems to be a cuff button, 0.6" in diameter. Can't really get any detail off the back, I guess it's a 2...

Coiltek 14×9″ DD Coil for Minelab CTX 3030 question

I do civil war relic hunting and silver coin hunting in very metallic trashy parks and areas along creeks in urban Atlanta. I am wondering what your experience has been with Coiltek 14×9″ DD Coil for Minelab CTX 3030. Would it be better for my type of hunting than the stock coil I am now...

question about CW relic hunting along and in creeks

I live in North Atlanta. Most of the Civil War relic locations that you can hunt around Atlanta are creek banks and in the creeks because the developers have no use for creeks since they cannot build near them. Fall is coming, snakes will be going underground so time to hit the creeks. I am...

maybe I need an XP Deus and not the 800 for this job?

Last year I switched to 100% civil war hunting in the Atlanta areas. Lots of careful and detailed research produce four proven sites and permissions. 2 are on private property with permissions and 2 area on city pars along Peachtree creek which are well known to civil war relic hunters from the...

    civil war medical tool?

This was found in a site of a proven Union field medical area. it came out of the ground totally rounded and encrusted as seen in first picture. Part of the encrusted end popped off in handling before I use electrolysis on it. I am not sure at all what it is. It is ferrous and is attracted to a...
