My Equinox 600 field thoughts

Got hundreds of hours on DEUS, ETRACS, CTXS, F75, Impact, v3i, etc

I not only believe it, i know it to be fact! I test detectors privately and do not post much but i can tell you this. I have never had a disagreement with TNN, or Calabash ,,,,, reason because i know what they post to be true. No different than my own tests and observations in the field.

There are not many places that are relatively trash free to hunt. The nox is at the top in unmasking abilities for a fraction of the price of what is considered top end machines.

I am not getting into a big argument , but honestly you are fighting a losing battle in a world you apparently know very little about. My advice is keep hunting with your AT PRO.

My advice to all reading this thread ,,,, sell your nox now!! ESPECIALLY IF YOU LIVE ANYWHERE NEAR ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IN FACT I SHOULD BE SAYING NOX IS HORRIBLE!!!!!! LOL I AM NOT EVEN RESPONDING TO ANOTHER THREAD WHERE PEEPS THINK THE NOX IS SUB PAR TO AN AT PRO.

Wood there are way too many experienced hunters on this forum who have tons of hours in with top end machines who are going to disagree with your assessment, i wont be responding to anymore posts of any ones where i can instantly tell they have no idea what they are talking about.

TNN,,, Calabash,,,, im out good luck lol!

CAPITAL LETTERS MAKE ME RIGHT AND YOU AN IDIOT!!! PAY ATTENTION TO ME!!

 Even if I watched TV, I guarantee I wouldn't find anything this amusing on it... Thanks for the laughs tonight Trashfinder. My sides are hurtin' here.

I'm sure the other "Pros" are gonna miss you in this here thread. ;)

I am glad i never did the Facebook thing , you post what you want bro., they also find plenty old coins in that iron to, it's your battle bro., i am stepping down, my blood pressure is already high , i like NO drama,:feedback::ohthedrama: YOU CAN HAVE THAT S---- buddy  happy hunting, Earl

Don't go having a heart attack on us buddy..
Your a good guy Earl, always posative even when you don't agree.

Wrong.
I coin hunt too.
Actually, my coin hunting fell off, you know why?
Cause my sites were dead using fbs/fbs2 detectors. Deus too, but remember id on Deus not worth a hoot.

The Nox has me coin hunting more now. Yeah I still relic hunt.

Actually around here in my area, Nox better coin hunter than fbs type detectors.
Coins depths around here, ok .i run the pizz out of Etrac and CTX for 3 years. Only dug 3 coins/bits anywhere near 10" deep.
If I would have been running a Nox all that time in sites around here I truly think my coin numbers would have been higher. And my arm and shoulder would have felt better, my pocketbook too.
Granted some coins are out of Nox range but are in Etrac or CTX range ( stock coils compared) but chasing around for these remote deeper coins is really not very smart. Not as smart from a time management/ copper- silver finds numbers perspective.

Yeah go ahead and find some targets with stock coil and At Pro and see if Nox can alert on them.

And do the other way too. Find with Nox and check with at pro.

Better site to go do this to see your results faster is go to a supposedly at Pro depleted site. It is here would you will see what the Nox will do.

You know, I haven't done head to head on all coins/ relics located with Nox 800, in my previous hard hunted sites. But I can definitely say I have checked these targets in AM before and after recovery ( the hole area) with AM on Nox.
Guess what I witnessed every single time?
Iron or nails really drumming in tonally in the audio when sweeping near where target was pulled.

The Nox was dropped out of an airplane for a very good reason.
And it was dropped in Xp's backyard for a very good reason.

If a person will keep using a Nox, the reasons for the above will undoubtably become apparent.

There is no way in the world I would have ever posted as much as I have about Nox if it wouldn't a performer.

And I durn sure wouldn't have selected Equinox as my avatar.

Keep at it Woodbutcher. You're a good gent. I like reading your post.

Tn,it's all good,just good humor here,that's all.Making America great again.lol

I dont have the nox yet, got one ordered though (800)..the only thing I have to compare this situation to is when I first got the Deus. Mind you I had been swinging a V3i for 4 years and a CTX 3030 for a year. I can tell you without a doubt my first impression was that the Deus was a gimmick and I just wasted a $1000.....I gave it more opportunities though, and as I learned how to properly use it, and began to speak its language it truly opened my eyes.. after around 60 to 70 hours of running the three machines head to head in the wild, I sold ALL but the Deus! The point of my comment is that I have always heard, run a detector 80 to 100 hours before making an opinion on it... I certainly love my Deus now and hope the Nox grows on me when I get it.

Also I come to this forum mainly for opinions and whatever methods I can glean from such reports of TNSS and Calabash, Rattlehead, and many others. These dudes are putting alot of time and effort into helping others learn...even if they are old and grouchy sometimes lol!

Sometimes I give my opinion before checking with the wife to find out what my opinion is.
Same thing happens

You know, you didn't do what a lot of folks did with their Deus units. I saw many folks buy, use a little and offload. But there were some who kept and learned and then the finds started flowing. Then a lot of the folks who sold their Deus initially bought back.

I remember what I was thinking when considering buying my first one. It was a strange looking detector and made in a strange place. Lol
But I figured surely if it cost as much as it does it has to be good. Sure enough it was!!

And the Deus went through a lot of what the Equinox is going through right now.

Guys that don't test their detectors don't have a clue about what it will do or will not do.. Woodbutcher if I said I had been in the game 2yrs , 5 yrs, 10yrs,or 20 yrs which of those would be the magic number for you? I mean really you can swing a detector for 15 hours and have it mastered so if a guy has been hunting steady for 2 months he should be a pro ....

These guys just want to argue back and forth and are not interested in facts about performance. Anybody that knows anything about detecting and detectors and has tried the NOX. Knows that woodbutcher lumping the at pro into the same class as the Nox is a joke.

There are some cheerleaders for butcher and his cause but there are some who know something about detecting and know what hes trying to do..
You are trying to ruffle feathers and that's it!!

These same guys have been around on my post before doing the same thing. Kajunman being another one.

What I find amazing is I never see them really posting any finds to amount to anything. Oh that's right you guys live in the WRONG area..

I like the ole I have been digging 20 yrs so I automatically KNOW more than you and I am a BETTER detectorist than you. I know people who have been detecting for years and don't know squat! Actually the one who started this thread is a perfect example of oh such a person..

As for finds the guys who never find anything like to throw off on the guys who do. They like to say if I lived in your area I could find stuff like that too...

Let me say this to them get off the forums spreading nonsense and START researching your area and county and you too could be making great finds. If you spent as much time looking for sites as you do typing nonsense you guys would have cases full of great finds.

You guys like to put down or throw off on others hard work and belittle their finds and chalk it up to their area blah blah blah, Get off the sidelines and get in the game!

Sites are hard to come by in my area contrary to popular belief. Hours upon countless hours of research . Time spent looking for the actual sites and yes we have located quite a few.

I have enough sense to test detectors, research sites, and use detectors on such sites do you?

Woodbutcher couldn't and wouldn't even hunt my sites to much iron for his taste. He only likes clean ground.... that statement right there shows a little about his detecting capabilities..

Were getting reviews from a guy who cant even hunt in modern trash or iron with a detector.

HOW MANY YEARS YOU BENN DOING THIS :?::?::?:

As for the cheerleader squad their in the same boat as the others .....clueless

A guy gets into the detecting and within a small amount of time (compared to others) Learns to research, masters a detector , gets off the computer and actually goes hunting, makes many great finds, locates many sites, beats on doors for permissions, spends his money, takes his time to share his findings, etc etc etc

THIS GUY IS JUST LUCKY THEY SAY !!!!!

Other guy been doing this 20 yrs going to the same ole places doing the same ole thing, finding the same ole nothing...etc etc...making excuses about why their not finding anything... blah blah

THESE ARE THE REAL EXPERTS FROM WHAT THEY SAY!!!!:laughing::laughing::laughing:

This stuff would be funny but to see people living in such delusions is really scary....

Ok,so what's the magic number, how long have you been doing this hobbie?
I mean,aside from a video everyday for ,a year,,are you green?
Like you said to me, answer the question.

I mean,I would hate to think you got alot of people fooled into thinking you been at it for even 3 years.lol.
And ah,the test s....that makes a guy find alot, and very knowledgeable.:laughing:Give me a break. How long Calabash,?
I'll bet money my coin garden is older and more experience than you lol

Again just read the post above and use some common sense.... Do I look like a greenhorn to you? Its a simple straight forward question that you will not answer !

Here ya go Calabash, fixed it so it reads to everyone else on the forums the way it does to me and most anyone else reading it. Every post.

"BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH, I'M THE KING OF DETECTOR MOUNTAIN! BLAH BLAH BLAH, I ONLY GET SATISFACTION BY PUTTING OTHERS DOWN! BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH.....

There you go cupcake. I'm really sorry whoever didn't love you, didn't love you. Or whatever feeds this colossal inferiority complex you're sporting everywhere.

There are several folks here trying their best to stick up for ya because they find your "tests" helpful and whatnot, but I'm sure they'll all abandon your cause shortly based on your inability to just leave well enough alone and the constant need to attack individuals at every opportunity.

They say, "I think he's a good guy, just old and grouchy". Naw. I was taught by a very wise man that if you act like an A-Hole more than half the time, you're just an A-Hole.

He popped on the scene around February to April 2016 new or relatively new to detecting. I remember because I was on Findmall trying to build up a post count to list some stuff for sale, and he was looking at either upgrading his AT Pro with some new larger coils or purchasing a Whites, I think the MX Sport. If I'm remembering right, the Whites was having issues and then he was considering a Racer when all the hype was everything Racer, then we both ended up buying a Deus the same week.

He was a lot more likable then, I enjoyed his posts. I think the Deus turned him to the dark side, I remember when he used to get angry and confrontational when people didn't agree with his Deus assessment. I hit 100 hours with my Deus and promptly sold it because it just didn't work out for how I hunt.

Another fine example of CLUELESS !!

:tissue::tissue: Poor little fella. Just can't stop coming back into Woodbutcher's threads to get the last word, can ya?

I remember when you joined the forum a couple years back, running your yap immediately like you were the master of the metals. Couldn't figure out how to post a link to your Youtube video though... Swinging high, fast and wild with the Deus. Talking the ENTIRE time of course, and not showing anything really valid, let alone valuable to other users. Dismissed entirely.

I've been around LOTS of guys like you on hundreds of job sites over the years. Fake it to make it. They keep yapping and yapping until they convince themselves they know what they're talking about, and usually a couple other guys who think little of themselves and need a "leader"...

Always the guys who fall off the roof or cut their fingers off because they insisted they knew everything about everything but had never used that type of saw before, and were too proud to admit it after running their mouth for an hour about being an "expert"...

Keep telling yourself your the man. It's cool. Those of us who caught on to you a long time ago, and the ones just realizing what type you are will move on, get useful info from actual experienced guys who can communicate without the need to beat everyone into the ground, and go find the goods with the know how and tools we like for our style of hunting.

I'll not be wasting any more of my valuable time on you, so good day.

You guys really need to get a hand down in your britches and unbunch them panties. This is metal detecting for christ sake, not brain surgery. Lol

Another fine example of CLUELESS !! common sense out the window....

Here's the reality. You test alot of machines in your test garden,no field time with any.F75,at gold,I could go on. O field time on anything but what you glorify.
So,I have an acual 15 or more hours in field on the nox,but my opinion is wrong::laughing:
My test garden has 7 years more time in this hobbie than you do.
I'm done arguing with an unarmed man,I've just said enough here to prove my point

I just want to say my At pro with 11 inch stock coil is horribly nose heavy! My Equinox with same is delightfully lightweight and can swing for hours.
Happy hunting.

Your a 100 percent correct, this is senseless.Im getting to the point to where I’m putting people down, and that’s not me.I don’t get off on making others look less worthy. This is just a hobbie to me,means nothing more than my fishing poles.

If anyone would know something about a cheerleader that would be you in your crocs . You mock about not having the same kinds of areas to hunt. That in and of itself is probably the most ridiculous statement you've ever typed and that's saying something. I guarantee you, you won't be finding the same kinds of relics here in Houston as you do where you are. That presidential thingy you found that you're so proud of....I will bet you 10 thousand dollars cash money you can't find one of those in a month of hunting everyday and researching for one full year until you begin your hunt. If you take the bet I will follow you everyday and watch you hunt.

What many of us have tried to explain to you is there are different kinds of hunting with hunters having certain things they look for in a detector. For whatever reason it just whizzes beyond your comprehension. I'm at a loss as to why you don't understand. Why is it hunter A can't have a different opinion than yours because they are looking for more stable TID numbers and hunter B is totally cool with a single tone beep and dig machine ? Why is it absolutely imperative that they have a Nox ? Or a Deus ? Or whatever else is your flavor of the day ? I haven't seen one poster yet say the Nox or the Deus just flat out suck. That said it may not fit their style of hunting.

Do you pull as many gold rings as John Edmonton ? If not, why not ? Do you even hunt for gold rings ? Jewelry at all ? How much do you go around coin shooting ? How many beaches do you go to ? How many lakes do you hunt ?

So detecting for two years huh ? LOL

Yeah I was just thinking about it myself ,I'm gonna refrain from these kinda post from now on.. I will let the results of test and finds speak for themselves now on .
