Well, the site I’ve been going to that netted me a fired round ball and a log cabin button has changed. When I arrived Saturday afternoon, the construction crew working out there had spent the week scraping 6-10 inches of topsoil off about half of the field. This site went from being one semi-relic per hundred holes, to me digging more keepers than trash. This was all from the past three days. Check out my other posts for old finds out here, but anyways, here’s some nice pics for y’all nice people!
Here’s the 4 silver dimes I found. Was real happy to see the barber.
Here’s a 1912 V nickel. I can’t see a mint mark yet lol. Anybody wanna tell me if I can clean it up at all to see?
Here’s an 1865 IHP that barely exists.
Three wheat pennies lol
A nice little sterling signet ring with an R on it. I don’t know anything about this so if any jewelry genius’ have a clue then let me know.
Here’s a big ol honkin .50? Cal bullet. Looks unfired, along with a fragment of what I’m hoping is a 3 ringer. I also found a ton of other fired bullets. Seems I really got down to the lead layer.
Here’s all of the lead bag seals I found that I named the post after. Some are plain, others have identifiers for old railroad companies that don’t exist anymore.
And last but not least here’s some junky jewelry, part of a harmonica reed, a button with a pumpkin on it, and some other trinkets.
It’s been a heck of a three day weekend for me, now I’m tired and my back is sore. Thanks for lookin!
