I'm new here and just bought my first detector with advice from this site. Thanks!
Ok so here's our story. We bought an old home place. It has a home from the late 1800's. It also has many barns,graineries... My wife wanted a she shed so we stripped some boards off of the largest barn. There were some interior handmade doors that we decided to repurpose. One door gave us some trouble removing so I removed a header board. Immediately we noticed a jar sitting half in a rats nest. I could see it had something in it with a green color. It turned out to be a roll of cash. The bills are from 1935-1963. It was a substantial amount but I can't divulge that...sorry. The 1935 bills are worn but all the others are crisp and uncirculated. I believe this cache was hidden in 63 because some of the 63 bills are sequential.
We started pulling some other boards above the doors and found a jar with small animal bones. We are still puzzled about that.
This property also has an area that was a local dump. It's about an acre in size and it's hard to walk through without stepping on old bottles. Currently my daughter loves gathering them and selling on ebay. I think it seems to be a dump from the 40's - 70's but am not sure. I'll ad some pics of the property and my daughter's last bottle haul. Maybe some pics will help in dating the site.
Our new simplex detector should be here in a few days. My wife wants to start searching for mason jars. I told her we need to wait til after deer season or it'll mess up my hunting. She said kill a deer now as she's hunting also. I guess she has the bug already. Hah!
***Note how the $100 bill shown has that mason jar curl but no creases.

Welcome to the forum!
You may have found the only hidden stash of value.
Some people find one thing like this and ruin their buildings looking for more when there is none.

That’s awesome!! All of us here on this forum wish to find a jar full of cash. May I ask what part of NC you’re in?

Welcome to the forum. When in advanced post mode, (Not able to do so in 'Qiuck Reply' Box) scroll down, below text box, you will see a "Manage Attachment" button. Click on that. Then click "Choose File" and select your pic and hit "Upload"

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your stash cash find. As someone else said you likely found the only one in the whole building so I wouldn't tear apart a nice useful old barn looking. If it has a partial stall cellar with a dirt floor, and some do, you may detect that later. Good luck and oh yes post photos.

Thanks TNTGross for the picture help. Thanks to all
.. for the congrats.
Simplex should arrive today and pointer tomorrow. Pretty excited to search the property. Being that the newest bills were from 63, I imagine there would be some silver buried. My grandpa was the same age as this properties PO. My grandpa pulled and saved every silver coin he could before and after 64.
I think I'll take advice above and dig everything.
