Rained the whole hour I was there today but it paid off!
I only hit a 1/4 of the back yard. 1st hit of the day was an unspent Springfield 30-06 with nice patina. Next was the metal outlet cover made by I think Bryant. Religious madallion with gold chain attached!!! A beat up 74 clad quarter and a clad Lincoln. A wheel of some type and a little brass thingy. Won't be able to go back to either neighbors for a few days, Snows coming!

Man I want to find some gold, what a score! You're rock'n Copet! I'd hate to hit that 30-06 wrong, right on the primer and it still be live. You would really be getting a big bang out of detecting, literally!

The cartridge was on its side, I thought it was an old brass lipstick container, and I wouldn't have found the gold chain by itself. The medallion helped out a lot

Crazy....I found two unfired .308 blanks yesterday! Old National Guard field training area.

Charles congrats on another successful outing. Those live rounds do give you pause don't they ? Love the Notre Dame medal, too bad not gold like the chain. I don't dig a lot of religious medals but last year during lent I dug at least 4, one being sterling. Good luck, Mark
