I was at an old park down the block, I explore new areas when I can just to see what's up.
Today the mosquitoes weren't too bad so I stepped into the woods for a bit.
I wasn't dressed for it, I had an accident, got a healing broken heel and still can't walk well but I haven't been in any woods since before spring so I went in just a short way.
Fortune favors the bold.
I only wanted one good target of any kind, I got a high tone signal and dug through the leaves and found a ring.
Thought it was silver at first, it had some gold tone in spots and dark tarnishing in others, no mark so I figured some kind of fake gold nugget ring.
As I scrubbed it a bit at home to clean it I noticed a copper base showing through so I threw it in the tumbler for awhile to clean off the rest of the coating.
It came out great...I now have an oddity, a gold nugget ring in beautiful copper.
