Another day, another roadside turnout. This one just down the road from me.

Hard digging but got a 1953 S wheat and a cool PG&E padlock. Have to go back and look for the key

Had a corporate key for those locks that got me past many a locked gate.

That's cool Ron. I like our PG&E guys, they work hard to get our power back up after snow storms... although we had crews from Oregon fixing our lines after the last big storm - it was a pretty big storm and stretched PG&E pretty thin I guess.

Maybe your key fits Groundsweeper's padlock

I saw some similar padlocks previously sold on ebay with a Key... wouldn't mind a key.

Nice...cool finds! That lock looks like a five pin and it could be raked open especially if it were a 'mastered' keyed cylinder.

Thanks JAK. THe lock is already open! I'm resistant to closing it for whatever reason  since I'll probably never obtain a key for it, there's really no point in it being locked or not.

Love finding those older padlocks. I have one from a railroad track switcher that ran between 1857 and 1920

THAT would be a cool padlock to find! I've been hitting along the RR around me somewhat when I can, yet to find anything cool RR related that I recall, a RR padlock would be awesome.
