This spot was rough swinging. Grass at times at my hip. However banged out three hours there. Mainly just ran perimeter and a few spots.

So here’s some pics. I will be going back again and fight the grass and dryness but can’t wait till fall.

So that is the entrance to the 100 acre area. As you will see there are multiple interesting spots. There is a old house, barn and old operational campground.

Pretty cool area.

By old house and barn I mean they have been gone since the 1970’s and last building standing outside the pump house was gone early 1990’s The pump house is still there but not active. As well as power. But it appears off at road as no interference. So I dug some nails all fairly modern a orange soda can as well as a few unique items. I found my second older compact of the year and a 1960’s oil can. Also included was a rim to a barrel and a shotgun shell as well as a door strike plate.

But my best item was

It’s not silver but first religious medallion can cross that off now.

Beautiful country. Congrats on the permission and your first religious medal. I always wanted to dig one of St Anthony. Good luck, Mark

That looks like one of those permissions that’ll produce finds forever. Beautiful country also.

The background scenery alone makes would make it worth the trip in my opinion.
Would love to get out to the Northwest for some detecting.
I'll bet ya there are some goodies of the silver variety just waiting for you.
Good luck!

That place looks like you need to swing a weed wacker before swinging a detector at it. Good luck!

No doubt. Ideally a tractor with a brush hog. However neither is happening. Still digging poking seeds out of my damn shoes. This fall it will be fairly easy to swing. This weekend I may hit it Sunday but Saturday a couple guys and myself are hitting some schools and old parks. Thanks jak I truly believe there are coins there.

So today work sucked. So I decided after dinner to head to the spot. Did two hours.

As you can see it sucks how tall and dry it is and I am in the furthest northwest part of the United States basically.

So found the typical iron objects fairly modern nails, potential mirror frame my daughter thinks. Some plumbing piece, shell casing, square nail, and other random items. Also part of a boot I think and other rivets.

However the best target was the third one in. It was a 1951 Rosie s dime. That is about right for the main activity on this spot. It was a campground and retreat from 1954 to 2017 and a working farm from approximately 1898.

It is hilarious how a dime worth a couple bucks tops just gets you going. It confirms my research, determination, and time I suppose. More than anything it gives me hope for this spot once ground has moisture and grass is down. I give this spot a thumbs up for sure! I have only scratched the surface at 4 hours into this spot

After Saturday’s hunt I will put at least 3 hours Sunday into this spot. Maybe 3 after Saturday’s hunt.

It is a great area to detect and just relax. Unfortunately our area has lil history everything is post civil war when people finally migrated this far west. So anything old was likely brought and dropped. I know one of my seated coins the half dollar was dropped and not received here more than likely.

Congrats on the silver dime! It's nice to find something worthwhile after multiple hours invested. I have been out to an old hotel site (demolished) twice now for 2+ hours each time, and I have yet to find anything other than nails and aluminum. I need to detect somewhere less punishing!
