Surface finds in a corn field. Dating back to when there wasn’t as much paper available and pieces of smooth slate were used instead, with the writing instrument also being a piece of slate. (Far left one found last year, other 3 found today)

Now that is really cool, makes one wonder how many times we see stuff and just don't pay any mind to it cuz we don't know what it is.

My thoughts exactly. In the short time I've been on this forum I have learned a lot about things I never would have given a second look in the past.
