Default Do you clean your Buffs?

Do you clean your Buffs and how so? I have several with dates that are the typical brown/green. I'm on the fence with this. I have seen utube videos where they come out a matt grey colored, but that doesn't look natural to me, but maybe still better than how they look coming out of the ground? Thoughts welcomed.

Wow steel wool it is! Those look fantastic! I have a zip loc freezer bag full of random dug coins. Might have to dig out all the shields, V's, and buffs now.

I learned about steel wool here long ago, only on nickels.
Any on hand works, don't like brillo pads, to much soap to work out and it's to fine a steel wool

Getting rough on the buffs. Not for everyone but I like them. Clean out the pitting and see whatís left..first cleaned of 7 buffs so far this year..no chemicals, soft brass brush..
