Just wanted to share a couple helpful tips that I have found handy. Feel free to add any you have found!
Here in Georgia it can get pretty rocky and I seemed to be going thru quite a few of the plastic coil protectors on my Garrett. I sprayed truck bed undercoating on the coil, put the coil cover back on, lightly sprayed it again and not only does the cover stay on, it is well protected!
I also have a Lesche Shovel that I have taken a shotgun or rifle strap and put on the shovel for sling. The ones with the loop ends work best. It keeps a hand free and the shovel safely out of the way on my back!
Happy Hunting and Stay safe!
