Found these in a newly plowed field over the weekend. The makeup case is dated to the 1920's, still full of makeup. Now mirror though. Didn't want to open all the way, very brittle. The dragon maybe pewter? Very heavy, I'm thinking handle to old mantel clock. Found lots of evidence of old clock lying about.

I would have guessed the dragon to be some kind of sconce / wall mounted candle holder. The part on the top of the dragons head looks like where you would put a candle. Cool finds!

I thought maybe it was a candle sconce at first, although is very small and shallow. Would take a very small candle. There is also a flat tip screw inside the sconce part. I know some antique mantel clocks have ornate lion heads and such for handles as well.
