Quick hunt after work nets me Silver coin #99. I have searched this site from all angles. The obvious signals are gone. Ran Park 1 and FE 0. Down to digging those suspect iron falsing high tones. Got lucky on this 1919 merc. Also this fun cuff link. I was able to find an example online.

That cufflink is pretty cool! He must have been single  congrats on #99, I'm sure we will be hearing about #100 in no time!

Congrats! Just one more! How far down was that silver to be beeping like iron on the NOX?

Thanks! It was about 4 or 5 inches. It was surrounded by iron nails and the signal came through. The hard thing is... sometimes just a bunch of nails will give off a high tone too. If I'm cherry picking a site, I will only dig the really nice signals, rather than taking the chance on an iron surrounded high tone. This site in particular just has the iffy signals left. Hope that makes sense. I've only been running the Nox for a year. More experienced detectorists probably can tell the difference. I'm not that good yet. Hope that makes sense.

Yep, makes perfect sense to me! Matches my experience with the EQ, as well. Been using it for a year also, and I really can’t tell the difference between the junky and good iffy signals yet either.

Congrats on squeezing that old Merc out of that site - should make the century mark with in a day or two  And the cufflink is a very cool piece! Well done!

Totally makes sense. In the last 6 months or so I've finally started to understand the Atpro better in trash and how to use it for deeper targets. If I'm hunting quick and shallow I can brisk around and listen for those clean 4 inch and up signals but if I want to get in the trash or go deep I have to go slow.
