Got back in change a very clean shiny wheatie from the tobacco store yesterday (patina intact)
Did not notice it untill I got home was about to toss it into the zincoln jar, did a quick glance at the date and what tha? Turned it over sure enough was the cleanest wheat cent I have even seen.
My guess was it has been sitting in a coin jar for decades and was finnaly cashed in or maybe it was lost and later found during a house renovation and put back in circulation. Anyway was a neat find.
