I got to squeeze in a short hunt after work, I was hoping more of the field was harvested but not yet. I settled for working the iron patch I have been hitting hard. Got a really solid 68-70 on the simplex and dug down about 3 inches and popped out a tiny silver ring. This is my first precious metal ring. The last photo proves I wasn't kidding about an iron patch. Thanks for the comments on these hunts.

I hit this area pretty hard over the weekend so I just changed directions and actually lowered my sensitivity and got a few more signals.

Good thinking adjusting the settings a little and persevering on the site - lowering the sensitivity can definitely help in locations loaded with iron by filtering out some of the itty-bitties that try to make the detector chatter like a machine gun. Congrats on the first of many silver rings :cool3:
