Lol, this is a hostile environment. .. I do have a nox 800 boxed up for awhile now in the garage ,damn thing would call zinc penny a dime on most occasions. I hate crusty zincs,and I won't dig for less than 10¢...

My experience with the MDT which has 6.5, 9, 12 and 18 kHz is 12 works best in wet sand. In the water low freq 9 and 6.5. 18 in damp or dry sand. A lot depends on location as well…. Things like EMI or minerals will affect which freq you can run
