Default Minie Balls, Enfield, and Silver!

I finally had some good weather and free time to hit the woods this afternoon to hunt for a couple of hours. Dug 5 dropped Minie balls and one fired Enfield, plus what appears to be a silver button! Can any of y'all help ID this button? Thanks!

Some nice digs. I wonder if the "Button" is maybe half of an old cuff link.

What is a "Minnie ball?" I think it's those bullets, but gotta make sure.

And congrats on the Minnie ball (I have no clue but it seems to be a nice find )

Yes it is those bullets. Named after the person who designed them, Claude Minie.

Nice finds. I found a couple buttons in my back yard and two minie balls on a friends property this weekend. What part of VA are you in? I'm in Locust Grove (near Wilderness battlefield).

Default Nice Finds

I bet that button isn't military.. Maybe from a women's coat or dress.. Just guessing.
