I went out after work today. With the nice dry weather I thought they would have mowed the hay on a site I have hunted, but they didn’t. So I tried a different site. I have found several colonial coppers and kg2 at this site. But this site has some problems to start the field is in corn. It only has a small patch of grass around the edge. The power lines makes it very hard to detect. Tonight none of that mattered. The best part was for some reason there was no emi tonight at all. As I walked along the grass I saw the farmer recently run a sprayer thru. It run down a path out in the field. So I went in. Am I glad I did! I started with digging my first cut silver. After that I didn’t even notice there was any corn around. Than a piece of a shoe buckle, my first kg3 farthing 1793, some Tom back buttons, a complete thimble and a first and my favorite a revolution war USA button.

I can’t wait for this fall when the corn comes down.
I was excited so so of the pic aren’t turn the correct direction sorry.

Holy cow that’s an impressive haul. Cut Spanish and a USA button are still on my bucket list. You’ve definitely got quite a spot there and the EMI may not be there if that line is out and grounded for maintenance. Huge congratulations to you on a great outing

Wow, that is impressive. I'm going to figure out where that field is and camp out until the corn comes down. :cool3: JK, I wish you luck this fall.

Awesome old finds. Congrats on the cut silver, farthing and all the other goodies. Should be a great spot when the crops are finished. Good luck. Mark

Great finds, cut silver is great. I have the same cut with the RUM on one side and for some reason I love that about it.

That’s a helluva “let’s just search over here” hunt! You guys are very fortunate to live where you do, finding stuff like that around here is unbelievably hard to do. Your spell check didn’t do you any favors with your “tombac” button, my spell check just tried to convert it too. Well done, that site definitely needs more examination…

Three bucket listers in one hunt! Your taking that bucket and filling up the whole pool! Congrats!
