Where have you detected ?
or how many states or foreign countries have you gone detecting?
and where would you like to try?
I've only detected in 3 states, Iowa, Missouri, Minnesota,
With winters unrelenting on-slot,
I'm thinking of running away...Costa Rica :tropical::detector:
but really a bucket list dream place to dig for me would be Ireland, Scotland.

2 states and ironically just 1 country
WI IL.

Love to do the UK thing of course as most would.

Been detecting in three Australian states (WA, where I live, and New South Wales and Queensland).

Haven't detected in any America state...or any 'overseas' country in fact.

However that should change later this year when I visit (or pillage ) Belgium, France, Germany, Hungary and Austria)

EDIT: Where I'd like to try is England (would love to find a hammered coin)

For most part have hunted the tundra of Wisconsin but made a few excursions south to hunt in Illinois. A few years back on a Winter vacation my wife and I did some hunting in Georgia, and in both North and South Carolina's. Would love to make a few road trips in the up coming years. Trapper

States detected in: Minnesota
Countries detected in: United States of America
Where I would like to MD: Missouri (Best friend lives there), but I also think it would be great to go to the east coast and find some old coppers, and go to the west coast so I can find some gold coins. :mder: :detector:

Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Michigan. Kansas. Some were organized hunts. I've been to Vietnam but i wasn't detecting.

I used to travel quite a bit for a living, so of course I'd take my rigs along and hunt! It was a lot of fun to go to a strange place, sit down at the computer at the Hotel and zoom around via satellite to find a few likely locations to ransack either in that town or on the way to the next one.....

Detecting insures a Traveling Man avoids falling prey to the common ruinous dangers of being alone and unsupervised far from home....It fills an instinctive and uncontrollable urge to be 'on the hunt' that we share...

Its saved me a fortune in bar tabs and Casinos and a lot more than that!...Its the best Male Chastity Belt available!

MI,OH,WV,VA,NC,SC,GA,FL,AL,MS,TN,KY,IN,IL,WI,MN,IA,NB,WY,UT,ID...

Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, West Virginia and Ohio. My detector accompanies me where ever I go and it gets to go to work at the drop of a hat and I will drop the hat.

Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Louisiana, Texas, Hawaii, Jamaica, and Guam.
Would love to hunt some old ghost towns, the North East coastal States, and all over Great Britain.

I've gotten the chance to detect a few states now - I fly for a living, so I'll bring my gear along if there's a "perfect storm" of circumstances (at least a full day available at the destination, weather will be good so I don't have to worry about being a mucky mess, there's enough room in the plane for my equipment, etc).

So far I've been able to detect Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Iowa, Wisconsin, West Virginia, New Jersey, and Indiana multiple times - and I think I've detected a couple other states just once.

I'll be taking a trip to Spain this coming summer for a couple weeks, and I'm seriously considering ways to get some detecting done while I'm there. I won't risk checking my main detector in with baggage, but maybe I'll buy a simple BH or something to pack. We'll see!

I wish I had been into detecting back when I was in the Navy and got to go places like Spain, Italy, and Greece, and in the U.S. places like Virginia, Tennessee, and Key West Florida, but since I didn't get into detecting until after we moved to SC and became a caregiver my responsibilities as a caregiver usually limit my travels as I need to try to not be away from the house more than an hour and a half at a time.
