Unusual silver

Spent a couple hours detecting near an old bridge during low tide. Was hoping for a silver coin but the mouth piece is definitely a first for me. 📯🎶

Bennington marble was a bonus surface find. :yes:

"Vincent Bach" Google search shows it's a mouthpiece to a French horn. Definitely an interesting one for a river 😅
 
Pretty cool! I played one briefly in junior high.
 
Not to burst your bubble but it is silver plated brass. All Bach mouthpieces start out as brass and are plated.

Still a cool find, I wonder if the rest of the french horn is in there.
 
We can start a band, I have a Conn trumpet mouthpiece!:lol:
Really, I know that the OP’s is from a French horn. How do I know? I PLAYED French horn for 3-4 years when I was a youngster. How I hated that thing, but apparently my Mom needed me to play it, so....I did. And I certainly remember what the mouthpiece looked like...
