Along these lines, Hows about this idea? Take a tank of Propane up on the roof, let it freeflow a good amount down inside your chimney, then, go inside and strike a match in your fireplace?
It will be like a potato gun! Holler out, "To The Moon Alice!" and strike that match! Boom! Quickly run outside and start singing..."Its raining coons Hallelujia!"
Being in chemistry class in high school with you Mud would have been "fun".
