Finally got on a good spot, this was a late 1800s fairgrounds that is just woods now. I had high hopes for this property, and it did not disappoint.
If I hadn't dug this stuff myself, I might not believe it! Luckily I had a friend with me and he got to see the stuff come out of the ground too... to say this was a hunt of a lifetime is an understatement if you ask me...lol
1824 Independent ODD FELLOWS Medal
Ring Front
Ring Lady on Right Side
Medal piece that would have hung on a ribbon
Lead Ride token fashioned after V nickels
Amusement tokens, found 5 in same plug and gave one to the property owner.
My 1st V Nickel - 1904 Finally got that monkey off my back!
1902 Barber Dime
1905 Barber Dime
1875 Seated Dime - My first and when I was on my knees diggin and realized it was a seated I literally fell flat on my back, never thought I'd pull a seated coin!
1875 Seated CC Mint Mark
1881 Morgan - She was down about 7 inches and I can't post here what I said to Jerr-Man when I found it because of a certain 4 letter word. Suffice it to say I said "You're not gonna ... believe this!" I still can't believe it, would have never guessed in a million years I'd pull a Morgan Dollar out of the ground!
Morgan Rear
Best Of It
Free State Beer
Of course I dug some junk-- this is only half the junk I dug.
As you can see this one one of my best hunts, it was a beautiful day for diggin and after 9 hours of hitting it hard, this is what I came up with.
My buddy also pulled an 1890s wedding ring, merc dime, 1883 Indian Penny, 1904 Barber Quarter and a few other odds and ends.
It was an epic day, thanks for checking out my finds!
