Anyone have an idea of my problem. I removed the batteries from my M6 as instructions called for. It was stored in a spare bedroom, so it was in a dry climate controlled space. My M6 was stored for a couple of years. I decided I wanted to use it and put a couple of sets of brand new batteries in. The detector came on with the screen indicating everything was fine but no audio, normally a test tone comes on but that did not happen. I have no audio using the built in speaker or headphones. Could it have lost part of the program? Thanks for any thoughts.

Maybe the coil or connection wire is bad. I did disconnect the wire on my M6 as a test and the M6 still made power up noise though. I'll be curious what you find.

Did you ever resolve this? I too am having the same issue with my M6 after storage.

I sort of had the same problem a few years back. It was in a closet for a few years and at first would not make a sound. Everything else seemed to work OK. I tried it later and it worked OK, had my grandson use it for the day and no problems. I put it away and have not touched it in a few years. If I have time I'll check it out and see what happens.

Mine had been put away for several years as well. I'm hoping it will change its mind and work again. Before sending it off to get fixed, I'm thinking about trying to put a new speaker in. But what's throwing me off is, the headphones work, but barely. Very, very low. I would think if it were only the inner speaker, the headphones would still work. Thank you for your response!
