A little history first. Back in 2016, I was was detecting an old ballfield and found a Rhode Island token that wasn't listed on the token catalog site. It's a Club Frontenac trade token, probably from the 1950's. I posted it on their site and got my 10 minutes of token fame! Here's a link to that listing:

Fast forward to yesterday. Went back to the same spot where I found the token and decided to dig every signal above iron. I was hoping to find some gold for a change, but dug a ton of pulltabs instead. Near the end of the hunt, I got a high 50's signal, which I usually ignore at a ballfield. After digging down 7 inches, out pops my second ever Club Frontenac token! Put it away and immediately got another high 50's signal about two feet from where I dug the token. Yup, it's another one! Now I have three of this once unknown token, which is pretty cool in my book.

Here's a couple of pics of all three tokens:

Thanks! I know most guys here aren't into tokens, but a rare find is a rare find. They're not worth much, but finds like these keep me looking for more rare stuff. Easy to get discouraged if you don't dig up something interesting every once in awhile...

I find anything interesting especially If I don't know what it is. Plus its historic which makes it even better. They look to be in great shape. Being new I'm curious as to why you would ignore any sort of 50 signal. I would think that would be a good sign?

At trashy spots, I usually dig anything that rings up 51 to 54, since that's what nickels register on my AT Pro. I ignore anything lower than that and any signal from 55 to 69 or so. Low 70's signals can sometimes be IHC's, so I do dig those at older ballfields.

I hunted this spot two days in a row digging anything above 40 or so. Ended up with 57 pull tabs and a dozen pieces of can slaw! I found 7 cents the first day and a penny the second day! I have hunted this spot at least 20 times over the years, so I didn't expect to find too many coins or rings. But that's why I usually don't go after gold.
