I recently found this on FB Marketplace. It's marked "STEALTH" on the back plate and it's 7" wide. Is this one of Chuck's original scoops? It doesn't look like it's had much use.

Yes, that is a Chuck designed scoop. I have the same hybrid one but mine has the U-bolt connection to the handle. The u-bolt connection I have didn't do well with CF but that one does. The last time it cracked Chuck had already sold the company and they didn't want to honor the warranty. Chuck told me to ship it to him. He added the wooden handle insert which has been fabulous for a few years already. My handle is about a foot longer now than regular and gives me excellent leverage for the way I hunt. If the wood ever cracks at the top U-bolt I think I will have enough wood to attach again for another set of years.

Looks pretty much the same as mine. I'm glad to have it. I'll be getting a carbon fiber handle for it soon. I'll bet it'll look better with GOLD in it though.

If the price is low or high, buy it. Go with Carbon Fiber, this is 2024, not 1990.
Chuck
Or this fiberglass handle that works great from HD. $20 and it's long enough if you wanted to cut it down. Not as light as the CF , but lighter than the wood. And definitely not no $80 - $120 !

FG handle for a broom? I could see if it was for a shovel. Don't low buck something that is as important as the bullets.

Many moons ago I had a friend, who lowbucked a handle and he had to call someone to come dig his scoop out.. for the handle snapped off at the scoop. The handle was wood.

Yeah, been there with a wood handle last year in Tybee Island. Puts an end to the hunt if you don't have a back-up.
