New smf detectors

Are these Metal Detectors something you guys are interested in learning more about? I am thinking about doing a Product Review on the Quest X10 Pro which is their $199.99 options, and also their Quest V80 which is their unit that cost $699.99 - $799.99, they also have a Quest V60 for $599.99 but I'm not sure if they are willing to send all 3 or not. As of right now We're just discussing the two first mentioned IE: the Quest X10 Pro for $199.99 and the Quest V80 for $799.99. I'm actually pretty stoked and trying these guys out since I've never heard of the brand Quest before until about 6 months ago. They also offer a Pinpointer for $129.99 which I'm not sure if th3y will send that or not but I will definitely keep everyone updated. They seem to have some pretty nice features and I am pretty excited to see what they offer at those two different price rags, basically we would be putting the $199.99 up against maybe the Simplex? Or u guys that's that a unfair match-up? Not sure what to match the $199.99 unit against, maybe the Minelab Vanquish? And putting the Quest V80, $799.99 unit up against the Minelab Equinox 600?

Let me know what you guys think, Thanks.

I am vary interested in the V80, not sure where one could be purchased in the U.S but I am interested, I am not really interested in how a $199 detector stacks up against a $799 detector but that is just me I would be interested in how the V80 stacks up against the Legend,Equinox, and other similarly priced detectors though

The quest line is just not that common in the U.S and I doubt seriously that Quest would be willing to send anyone that does not have a presence on you tube anything to try, I do know of one well known tester in the U.S that is currently testing the V80, and he has posted one statement on Facebook about the V80, the V80 is the only Quest detector I am interested in possibly making a purchase of.

I have read and watched a lot of things that have been said about the Quest Line of detectors, everything I have read about them is fairly good,, the problem I have is there is not many that I know of in the U.S, the U.S is a hard sell with anything new coming out for sale in the U.S

That’s 800 range if you’re a savvy shopper, even before the 900 came out. I paid $805 for my 800 six months ago.

I would think those prices are MAP pricing which is where the Legend MAP pricing was most likely depending on where in the world you are located the price may be lower than those prices and could even be down around what the Legend cost is, I would think they would be smart enough to make the price low enough that people would purchase them

More than likely it’s just an MSRP, not MAP. We’re talking about a Chinese product.

Also, it doesn’t matter where you are located in the world when you shop the internet. 🤷🏻‍♂️

It actually does matter where you are located, I will use Mine Lab for an example only, because they all do this

mine Lab detectors has always been high priced in the U.S but in other countries a Mine Lab detector especially their high priced Gold Machines can cost a lot less then what us in the U.S pay for them by as much as 20-30% less

I've had the Quest Q40 for several years. Good machine. Insane recovery speed. Noticed a dealer regularly selling the pro pack with 2 coils on ebay at no reserve auction. MSRP was something like 460 at the time. Seemed like most were closing for 250ish. I thought, why not? Got one for 250 and no regrets. Not sure about the company now but originally it was owned by a Chinese American. The machines were designed in California and manufactured in China. I think it moved off shore. I think repair work would be a concern. Luckily I've never had an issue.
The brand is fairly popular in Europe.
The V80 definitely looks interesting.

It’s great to see a company come out with something new, Minelab and Xp been battling it out, other companies falter . Interested to see someone test it out and see how it performs

First of all I noticed this was your first post on friendly metal detecting forum

I do have my name on a list with a dealer that will be carrying the Quest V80 in the U.S, I want one and as usual when I get one I will be giving my 2 cents on what I think about the V80

I will either like it or I will not

I just want to try one out since I have never used a Quest detector I figure the V80 will be a good one to do so
