Metal Detecting in the Southern Maryland/ DC Area

I Just moved here and looking for some decent wooded/Beach areas to MD in. I am located in Waldorf... I went to Ocean City today and just picked some loose change. I have a Excalibur II and was actually looking for a good spot to Shore Dive from..... Apparently there is no shore diving areas that are decent.... Now I just looking to Metal Detect on dry ground...... Anyone interested in buddying up?...or know any good areas?
