Honey hole gives up something strange !

Found this and only this today at the honey hole. She’s dying slowly Anyway, it’s heavy, I think lead. About the size of a quarter. Maybe you can see the eagle holding a shield with the word cent at the top. I can’t make out anything on the other side. Can you ? Also it’s thicker than a quarter.
Any thoughts ???

That's a Massachusetts Copper. Appears to be made of pewter, so I'm not certain it's authentic or not. Awesome find!
 
Wow. Good example of how perspective and orientation can impact what you see... I realize the original coin is
now sideways and can see the above image...
