I'm later than usual getting my 1st silver of the year. January is almost over. I've kinda lacked any new places to dig lately. A buddy of mine told he had a spot, so I couldn't pass it up. Long story short lots of clad. So much so I only dug it if it had depth. Some of it was crazy deep for clad. Actually edge of detection deep. This was some rotten clad. In horrible shape and really hard to clean. I got a 1957 Washington quarter as my first silver coin of the year. I also dug a really deep sterling silver marksmanship medal. My buddy got one silver Rosie, and dug about twice as much clad as I did.

Better late than never longbow. Congrats on the sterling an Silver GW. A nice way to start the silver count for the year. Good luck. Mark

Congrats on the 1st silver for 2023! I found one of those marksmanship medals a few years ago.
