Bunch of pics from several hunts this week. Got several good coins from new-to-me spots.
I've had my eye on a small section of lake front where the water line has been really low. Got several wheats from the beach front. There's a ton of old aluminum cans that no doubt are masking targets. I'm planning on heading there again this weekend, picking up all the surface trash and giving it another go. I was also shocked to find basically a surface Large Cent. I got an aluminum can type signal right at the waters edge, but when I lifted the coil it went away. Kicked a rock over and it was basically staring me in the face, I thought Tom in CA would love this! Cant tell the date, either 1833 or 1838.
Two other hunts this weekend landed me a 1917 Type 1 SLQ in a spill with a 1927 Merc. Yesterday was my birthday and I got out for an hour or so after work and pulled an 1891 seated dime out of left field. Literally. It was pretty deep in left field of an old baseball diamond.
Picked up a couple relic'y type of bits too. Found a GM Skinner fishing lure with a Pat date of 1874 at the pond and a LePage R.C.C.O Signet glue tube stopper, which I though was a watch winder until I found a 1918 print add for the glue.
Thanks for looking, hope everyone is getting out.
