A Phone Call, And Its 410

410's a nice even number...much better than 409:lol: Congrats and happy new year!
Thank you Scott. 409 did sound pretty good but your right 410 is just a bit better. And it is one more cherished adventure with Mike as it's always a blast to hunt with him.
Congrats on reaching 410, Trapper! :woot: Another great outing. :mder:
Thanks Wolf, the conditions were not the best. Even the site was not our first choice but we made the adjustments to make a great day out of it. Trapper

410 silvers! :wow: Congrats to both of you on the sweet hunt. What a great way to finish the year!
Appreciate your reply Princess. Every hunt with Mike is sweet, at least that's the way it always has been. We have a streak from our first hunt back about 5 years ago until this one, that one of us digs at least one Silver.
AMAZING year and interesting hypothesis about the soldier. That’s part of what makes it a great hobby, one can kinda write the story based on knowledge of the dirt, depth, era , etc. it’s like clues to a mystery and you get to finish the story!
Digger, it is the story or the vision we see after the finds that makes it interesting. That way it as we want or hope it to be. Trapper

Great way to end the year!

Jeez Trapper leave some for next year. Ha ha. Congrats, glad to see you can still get out. Happy New Year Mark
Thank you Mark. Think the hunting is done for a bit as the temps did a nose dive. I do know the next hunt will be in 2019. Will have up the year end report hopefully tomorrow.
Congrats to you, and AFM!!! Great hunt!!! You killed it this year.....you both did!!
Thanks Travis for the very kind words. I'm blessed to have friends that are very like minded, Much like you and Scott. The shared hunts just are so much more fulfilling. Between Mike, Brad (Dewsweeper) and Kevin (IDX Monster) we dug almost 800 Silver Coins. Trapper

thanx for taking us along. Happy new year to you !
Appreciate your reply Tom, thank you. It was a very fun but cold and wet adventure.
Nice saves and GREAT YEAR for you both. Congratulations !!!!!!~
Thank you Jerry. Mike is one heck of a detectionist. He has helped me many times over the years and is a pure joy to share hunts with. Trapper

I can't wait for your year end report, it should be epic' Don't forget the IHPs. and the cool digs. Happy New Year. Mark

Wow... love it! "410" is such a nice round number, way to still pull the shiny!
Appreciate your reply David. 410 will be a little easier to remember than 409. December went a lot better for me than I had anticipated. Really surprised on being able to dig right up the the last few days of the month.

Sorry Mark, as I was putting the report together I neglected to take a shot of the three Indians before I put them away. Had I dug a tribe I would have made them a higher priority. Hopefully I can dig a lot more of them in 2019. Do have a shot of the herd of Buffalo's. Hope to get it posted later today. Trapper

Congrats on the last minute silvers for you and Mike.Thats cool you guys get to hunt together and each find new places to go.Im kinda a loner, but then again I’m never outgunned or in a race.lol..Great year for you both.

Ha ha ha. This is gonna be pretty cool .
Took me ten min to put togeather my wrap up and Trapper has 3 accountants, two attorneys. 7 armed guards and a Brinks Truck helping put this post together.😎

Jamflicker might have a chance to get 400 silvers if anyone else.

I agree, Jam is a beast ! Old Raphus hasn't been around much but his numbers were the most mindblowing I have seen in the modern day.
Trapper is not hunting on a bed of silvers rather scratching the up were others like me struggle to find a save .
There is a crazy amount of patience and work ethic involved in what these guys do. Lotsa great hunters on the forum that can scrounge them if they are in the ground but the drive to go hard day after day and stay on task is something I have not got in me line the few do.
The hunting grounds are picked over pretty well but it's still out there.
Pretty cool to see when these type of individuals go to work with there craft.

Thank you Pete for those kind words. I enjoy the shared hunts as the just make the rewards just that much better. I never feel its a competition and feel just as happy for the others finds. I do a awful lot of lone wolf hunting when the door knocking and its been years since I have teamed up with anyone on the trapline.

You know the hardest part was running to the bank yesterday to retrieve the treasure from the safety deposit box. Still trying to put it all together yet as I have been in and out trying to remove the ice from the driveway. By the way there were armed guards at the bank. Trapper

Metal, first I want you to know the number of Silvers I dug in 2018 was not a competition unless it was with myself. Your right Jason is very capable of digging as many and more. For that matter there are a lot of others that have the abilities to provide very big numbers. Captain Silver (Bruce) and History Finder (Ron) are a couple of examples. The key is to have the time and the available grounds that hold the Silver and then make the effort. Trapper
