Wife had to work today so I took the kids to the local elementary, trying to make $200 clad for the year
My regular Compadre, propointer and lesche, was in the car my wife took to work, so I took my waterproofed, recently straight-shafted compadre “Gold Siren” and my old Fiskers digger. Like the straight shaft mod, used 3/4 copper pipe but missed my lesche! Did fine without the pinpointer.
The tot-lots were pretty bleak, hard to eek anything out of them, but hit a grassy spot near the gymnasium, and found the sterling horse with hosreshoe charm. Thought it was a St. Christopher’s medal at first (it was covered in dirt pretty well ) but pretty cool, my favorite sterling find of the year.
Next target, kid not, was the 1948-S wheat cent! Pretty cool. Need 73¢ more to hit the $200 mark for the year, maybe Tuesday!
Merry Christmas everyone!
