Unbelievable Finds at Old Fairgrounds

Wow that is amazing. Can you tell us what the site is like at this time? Is it all mature trees? Is it hard to hunt there? Did you have to get permission?

Yes it is a private property, fairly easy horse pasture digging, mature trees, but they probably were not there in the past.

All private property now with owners permission.

The owners caught some guys back there last weekend and ran them off... this is an exclusive permission my business partner and I have.

I'd definitely call that the hunt of a lifetime! In fact, I'll be lucky to find many of those coins during my lifetime at this stage, started late in detecting! Great hunt and great job!!!

When you least expect it, you'll have one of your greatest finds ever. I used to believe I'd never get a chance for a hunt like that, so keep pluggin away, there's always hope, and like I said, when you least expect it....

Update: I have since learned that these are actually old poker chips... I was calling them ride tokens...

I'm not sure if I commented earlier in the thread or not, but this is really amazing!
It would be cool to keep all of the coins from this site separate and post one photo with everything one day.

Awesome finds nectar! Do you think these couple of guys may have put pieces of the puzzle together via this thread? Stinks if so can never be too careful...if I were you I'd be camping out there every weekend or something lol can't wait to see what else pops up! HH

Since its SO HOT out and haven't been able to hunt much thought I would check out some of my past hunts. I will never forgot this hunt. You killed it that day. I laugh everytime I remember you falling flat on your back after you dug the Morgan, then 5 minutes later dug the seated. AWESOME DAY and Great Hunt.
