ENDED Water machine >-= CONTEST =-< guess the price

Something strange, looks like it has a Excalibur II decal under the old decal. I have seen Excalibur II stickers stuck over top of the old blues but never in reverse. And that's where the ones with the double decals roll up, interesting?

If my memory serves me right, the blue Excalibur's were built with the yellow Koss headphones toward the end of its production run prior to the Excalibur 2 coming out - might be the case with this detector?

Nothing strange what happened is , is what happened to me, when my blue 800 was serviced they threw a excal 2 decal over the blue, I talked to them on the phone before they sent it back to me with new head phone's, I told them I wanted the original blue decal on it, so what did they do, they put a new blue over the a excal 2 decal, half a--- , that's what happened to this machine , Earl Ps I checked out the picks on ebay , this machine might need a NEW battery original blue still on it the coil most likely needs replacing, looks like salt under the cover never cleaned along with the salt build up on the coil wire The price to fix as long as water hasn't entered the housing would be 325.00 for a coil and 140.00 for a battery so add 465.00 to the price plus shipping to minelab  Unless your OBN the Mod Master ;)

Pawn shop selling. Probably does not even work. David, what do I win if I guess it right? You can't have a contest without a prize. I will guess $560. You guys think it is worth over $800 are nuts. Stock shaft and all.

Surfmaster: Dude, I'm taking you with me to evaluate my next used machine. Awesome tips!

Imalookin: too funny, I think the winner will receive my prize collection of bobby pins--COD of course. lol

As far as ebay... just a few weeks ago (Sept 30th), this Excal sold for $455 plus 25.95 s/h. It seems like a good deal, but man, if you had to spend $400 to get it seaworthy, it would be far better to just buy new. Perhaps Surfmaster can evaluate this one too?

Weird looking coil wire. looks like when a roly poly is fixing to shed its shell. Some of these units sit in closets with hazardous materials eating at them. If you don't get lucky you could be hating life if you pay too much for a dud. I'm thinking it's almost better to run into someone on the beach using an older one and make an offer to take it off their hands:D If they covered up my sticker i'd be po'd too.
