how do i make my own plug thing to dig into the ground

i want to make my own i saw someone on youtube useing something but i am not sure what it is and i can't find the video (sorry)

be much easier to get a lesche digger or a survival knife. Evena chepaie garden trowel woud do you well in the soft soils of springtime.

The lesche tool works great although if I am on someone's well manicured lawn I use a steak knife to cut the plug. The blade is thinner than the lesche tool and the plug edges fit back in the lawn a bit tighter and neater.

Steak knife ??

I like that idea. I have been thinking that an "afro pick" (improper reference?) would be nice to blend the grass around the plug. I saw a plug cutter at Lowes but think it's no where near as versatile.
