Repairing Bent Rings
This was made by my father-inlaw, it was machined and works the same as a ring sizer that the jeweler has. Only difference is that instead of determining ring size, you place the bent ring on the end and tap the bend out with another piece of similar metal that has an end covered with a piece of material similar to the tip of a pool cue. This minimizes damage and forms the ring back to its natural shape. The second piece to tap the bends out is somewhere around, but after the move I haven’t run across it yet.

I use a commercially made steel ring mandrel and a leather mallet. You should never hit the ring with another metal item. A leather mallet is the preferred method.

Good tip WL. I know you have to be careful tapping them, cause we broke a couple.

No, I don't think I've seen the homemade water scoop. I think people would appreciate that.
