Wouldn't recommend it. Among other things it needs the battery for balance swinging it. You want to feel what nose heavy feels like try an AT pro.

I've always though that too, being a hipster myself. I think it would be a killer idea if you could figure a way to extend the cable. They make bungee cords swing things for the weight of the shaft so the nose heavy though wouldn't make a differents, go for it.
