The 61/2 inch short part that connects to the upper shaft on my excal will not stay connected. So the coil just falls out or spins. How do I repair it? A spring clip does not work, should I glue it?

I've heard gorilla glue or epoxy will work well.

I would use marine epoxy if you are using it in salt water
