I would like to start this thread out with an apology as I hope this doesn't cause a heated debate throughout the forum members....That said..
I am absolutely new to the hobby and am looking at purchasing my first detector. I have spent many many hours researching this forum and others about different options. At least at this point, my main interest will be coin and jewelry without the need to search in water. As I have been researching, I have found that the Tesoro machines seem to continually catch my attention. Cant really explain why, but the manual adjustments and simplicity (non Tech) of those just seem to keep drawing me towards that line...If that makes any sense. Anyway, question is this....for my situation in SE Ohio, would the Vaquero or Mojave make more sense or other versions? Additionally, with the news of the business issues they are experiencing would it be smarter to steer away from these? I will also have unlimited access to an Equinox 800, so I hope to use that as well.
Anyway, thanks for taking the time to read this and providing valuable assistance.
