Anyone use an Etrac on the beach (dry sand)? If so, did you have any success and what pgm(s) or settings did you use?

Should do very well, just run the disc wide open, sens as high as possible.

Etrac autobalances everything really nice, and is proficient at ID'ing multiple targets under the coil footprint. Depending on your beaches amount of mineralization, bottlecaps, especially the deteriorated ones, can be a bit of a headache at first but if you are trying to cover a large area quickily, you can notch them out one-by-one as you come across them.

It's not as deep as my Sovereign Elite, but it's lighter, quicker and better balanced.
I use Des Dunne's Ireland beach mode with a down curving minimal disc pattern...

They work great. It is what I used before the CTX 3030. I ran a very open screen and bumped the gain up a bit to make the deep ones come out.
