Here's a short story to get you all ready for Spring time hunts.
While wandering over a CW fort area I dug one minnie. Thought great ! I worked all around the spot and dug another - then another - till I had these 5.

When no more were forthcoming I looked back over the area and the 5 dug marks lined up in a row - about 15 ft apart. The area was a return route to the fort on horseback and I thought maybe a few men were coming back and emptied their pouch of minnies, thereby qualifying for a new pouch of them. Who knows - but happy finds, Steve in so az

Very nice Steve. Are you gonna make a display of all the CW finds you make. I'll bet it would be impressive. ;)

That is an unusual type of bullet. I'm not familiar with the kind. Can't say that I ever dug any of those, and I've even found type-1 cleaners before(but these don't look like cleaners). Let me know if you find out the type. Great finds!!!!!

In my Civil War Projectiles it lists it as a 56 cal. , Sharps carbine 1858. That's all I know, steve
