Headphone building questions...

Hey folks, I've decided to build a set of headphones based on some Howard Leight Thunder 29s I've picked up. Found some inexpensive 100 Ohm speakers I'd like to try, but they're only about 20mm in diameter. Pretty sure I can use two of 'em per ear and wire in series, making 'em 200 ohms per side... Anyone see a potential problem there?

Sounds like an interesting project! Never built headphones before, so not much to offer in terms of advice. Looking forward to seeing the results!!

I made a thread about making a set of headphones for a ctx but it is the same concept. You could use audiosears speakers there are a lot of speakers you could use I would try and find the thread there is a lot of info and parts and links to use

Great minds think alike!

I also bought a set of these to try on a headphone build.
Hate to tell ya this but I did not care for them.
They were lower in volume, high tones were not as high or as crisp as I would like.
Have tried ~ 10 different inexpensive ones from EBay. So far have only found one or two that I like and will continue to use.
