mother has given me my dads old garrett fortune hunter md.
unfortunately batteries were left in and 9 volt battery connector rusted off.
does anyone know where I might possible get a replacement or have the old one repaired.

I would strongly imagine Radio Junk would have em. Their stuff is crap, but the 9v connectors are pretty much Radio Shack proof.

If you have an old alarm clock, most of those can run on 9vs and if you've got it plugged in then you don't need it to be on 9v. Just snip that out and solder it in. I did that for something I was doing a while back.
