I have some minor back problems so constantly bending over eventually makes it ache. I took a 24 inch length of 3/4 PVC epoxied a magnet in one end, capped the other and put on broom hanger to keep it on my belt and now I don't have to bend over to get those metal finds like nails etc. It picks up some pretty heavy stuff and it is easy to separate junk from keepers. Weight is nest to nothing.
