Yes I'm that stoopid...

We'll I don't feel quite so bad now... seems I have a few more boo-boos to look forward to! I was almost in years laughing so hard at some of those! Thanks to everyone for making my day! And yes mudd-puppy I'm in Duluth... I figured the boots would help walking through all the mini icebergs still everywhere... glad I'm not the first to pull that one off!

Drove 32 miles to the beach. Get ready and turn on the detector. Heart sank my detector is broken. After a couple of minutes I finally could see that the battery is not on my Xcal. Checked vehicle. No Battery. So drive home pick up both batteries and drive back to the beach. It was well past sun up when I finally got started detecting. We all make the occasional bone headed mistakes Of course some of us do so more often.

I.ve left headphones at home, forgot my armcuff after disassembly the hunt before giving a thorough cleaning, and also thought my DFX was broke when I forgot and left the switch forward when cutting it on. Lol! I have detachable headphones on the Excalibur. Forget those and its a real quiet day:lol:

I work up-close and personal with cattle and horses. Steel toes are a must, it took me a couple of trips with my detector to figure out why I was getting so many signals and finding nothing. Composite toes are an option.
