Why the Equinox actually COULD make a lot of other detectors obsolete.

The difference i think alot of people are missing here is this should be great in the SALT water environment. If you hunt fresh water then maybe an at pro could be all the machine you need and work just fine, but minelab machines really shine in the salt.
Still waiting for some videos and reviews of the equinox IN THE SALT WATER, not in wet sand, before I decide...

Feel free to go back and do a detailed spread sheet. I don't see a big surge

This time of the year machines always hit the forsale section. People aren't detecting with the weather, Xmas, beer, taxes, Crack, Hookers and so on.

Having a new machine coming out won't help but I don't see this huge sell off going on.

No it is not a surge in the amount of machines being sold... it is in what they are bringing... people are not buying because they are saving and have on order equinox and some waiting for peeps reviews ... but a !!!! ton of peeps holding onto their money to buy immediately when available or just after release based on user reviews.

It would be interesting to see actual statistics. I know I am selling a etrac(nothing to do with the equinox) and I am sure it isn't helping..lol

It should be remembered that the reason everyone get's excited about a new detector is because of all the stuff found with an old one

I approach each machine like I would a strange dog, with cautious optimism.

It all sounds good but I remember a few others that were touted to be close to the Second Coming, and they turned out to be either just fair or good detectors. I'm excited, but I'm sure the market surveys have them priced accordingly to their capabilities.
